Once upon a time, a little girl had a dream of becoming an author. She wrote a new story every spare moment she got, all throughout primary school and well into high school, when she finally managed to finish a story she started. That childhood dream still burned as brightly as it had in the beginning.
The girl grew, and her stories grew with her. She entered university, ready to start a brand new adventure, so took up the name Rebecca Alasdair to introduce herself to the world. Now, all these years later, it is time for her stories to be told. For that dream to become a reality.
And thus, Southscript Press was born…

Hello, and welcome to Southscript Press, official publishing imprint of Rebecca Alasdair. We are thrilled to be announcing our new business today and to be starting the next chapter of our storytelling journey.
This, you may have noticed, is our website. While there is still work to do, there are plenty of great features here to keep you entertained in the meantime:
- HOME: Our website’s front page, where you can subscribe to our updates and will (eventually) find feeds from our social media. And maybe more.
- ABOUT US: Everything you need to know about Southscript Press—who we are, what we do, where we come from, why we’re here.
- OUR AUTHORS: Details on our author(s), which currently only numbers one, but who knows what the future will hold?
- OUR BOOKS: A comprehensive list and details on our books, the first of which will be coming to you in late 2022.
- OUR STORE: Not much to see here JUST yet, but one day (hopefully soon) we’ll have some exciting stuff available for you to buy.
- NEWS: Our blog page, where we will post all our news and updates about our business, our authors, our books, and whatever else we fancy.
- EVENTS: Any upcoming Southscript Press events—or perhaps even other publishing, writing or reading events—which may be of interest to you.
